Life has been a little busy at the moment, as you can tell since i have not blogged since last tuesday. After finishing all my work and taking a hot lush bubble bath, i am finally feeling inspired. Also i hope you all like the slightly new look "kickingcouture" has got.

So what has been going on in my life lately?
well, i dyed my hair yet again. Just simply darker back to my natural colour, and im loving it. Also i really reccomend picking up " Julie and Julia" its making for a fantastic read, i bought it for the plane ride but i couldn't resist delving right in!
Shabby Chic, i used to deteste this kind of style. But this and all those preppy blogs have got to me! Im craving floral printed bedding. Funnily enough i actually have a cath kidston throw packed away somewhere from when my mother tried to decorate my room that way! Hmm me thinks i will be getting it out sometime!

Well, It's a new year - and Australian Open has already started.

One player who was making the headlines was Maria Sharapova. The Russian star had supposedly made history by signing the most expensive sport's contract ever!!

Nike has agreed to pay her 70 Million US$. In return, Maria will adorn the Nike dresses for 8 years. Assuming Maria will play for another 8 years - Nike get excellent visibility across the world!! Maria certainly wouldn't complain about the money!!

Makes me wonder - Is she a super model or an athlete?

Well, Nike will get maximum benefit if Maria stays for a longer time at the tournaments.

We had a surprise at the 2010 Australian Open with Maria being ousted in the first round itself!!

One thing that attracted attention - maybe more or maybe less than her loss - was her peacock dress!!

Looking at her, I found it surprising on how she actually managed to play!!

Well, with 8 more years to go, we will certainly have many more surprises!!

Organization 101

Heya!

Organization is the key to life, it helps things run smoothly well at least thats what i am hoping. Darlings i've become rather slobbish in my ways, my room is well rather a mess, my folders for school are unorganied and sloppy. Im tired of it, tired of well tidying my room often enough, for it to then be messy 2 days later. Enough....

I've just ordered a few things;An agenda. This Lily Pulitzer agenda is seriously cute, unlike my school planner everyone is given, man i begrudge using the thing. It hasnt got enough space, its plain ugly, it doesnt have a monthly calendar either. Unlike this cute thing, which has all of those things and more!! Having an agenda will allow me to plan ahead, write those important things/dates down, not forget anyone's birthdays, when assignments are due!

Ring Binder folders. Perfect for storing all your notes in, mine are getting tatty! I think im going to complete reorganize my folders too, buy some dividers of course in cute colours. Ring binders save your life!

Highlighters. Highlighting under important phrases, notes and words make life simpler. I could not be without them! Mine all ran out and ive been borrowing my sisters for the last week during exams!



Ball point pens. Inky pens and me just dont mix, my writing is even sloppier than before!! I adore these zebra grip pens, they are mini but they have this soft rubber around where you hold it! Hmmm and this pack of multi colours is cute.
Post it notes. These little buggers keep me sane, i keep a large stack on my desk, stick them on my window each time i think of something i need to do!

Meet my haul...

Little bit of retail therapy while doing my exams, so if you've been wondering where i have been simply revising, taking exams all this week which i have to say i did rather terribly. Ah oh well, retakes are in June.


So i stumbled into my local Lush store and picked up alot of things woops! There is an offer on at the moment, spend £20 get £20 free!

I ended up with

Bath Ballistics
2 Vanilla fountains- they seriously smell amazing, slightly floraly with a strong vanilla obviously.
3 So white - Like apple and fresh linen, stocked up as its a christmas only one sadly.
1 Cinders- Hard to describe, its a wintery spicy smell with poprocks inside!!
1 Jingle spells- hmm not my favourite, well it was a freebie. Juniper berries.
Mister Butterball- Yum, cute snowman shape of the famous butterball.
Bubble Bars
Comforter- Amazing, smells just like blackberries, definitley a must buy again.
Candy cane- Another amazing smells like vanilla candy!
Holiday - its dorothy's shoes in a bath bubble bar! covered in red glitter smells like roses.
Soap
Honey i washed the kids- Repurchase! Smells like caramel and honey.
Father frost- smells like cranberries,apples and a slight masculine.
Randoms
Shower jelly, shower jelly- smells amazing like mincepies and cognac and oranges.
Face mask, crash course in skincare- Smells icky like lemongrass and avocado but does an amazing job.
1/3 of the comforter bar!! Crazy bubbles,great smelling bath and pink water!!

This crazy ammount only came to £20 because of the offer and well it helps that the hot lush guy find some christmas stock and gave me a few freebies/samples, let me make mental note to go back soon :-)

Also had a little mac order, which took forever to arrive!! 9 days thanks to the snow. Bought Woodwinked ( Almost got a full pallete now!!) From the new collections i bought
