Plenty frocks

So yup theirs my tree, which i have decided is very unphotogenic. Seriously it looks so much prettier in real life, it has a silver theme, with iridescent, silver, white baubles, silver tinsel and this strange Branch silver type garland.

So i have just discovered the cutest dress brand ever, its " Plenty frock", their dresses are like something out of gossip girl. The line is by Tracy Reese and has been around for a year or so, i cant believe i didn't discover them sooner. This dress should be called "jenny" its the perfect little dress that jenny would have worn before she went all rebelish, with a nasty hair cut and bad make up. Jenny used to be along with Blair my favourite character but after reading about season 2, man she is like a slow motion train wreck.

I'm an avid gossip girl watcher, and this week i bought the 1st 3 books! I have to say Blair is my ultimate favourite, along with jenny ( although from what Ive seen online, jenny sucks in season 2). Serena, eh, she just bugs me and i find Blair much prettier, though strangely she looks very pretty in sisterhood of the travelling pants.

This dress was made for Vanessa, the girl we love to hate. Like jenny, her TV character is completely different to the book! She was meant to have her head shaved, wear punk shirts and combat boots. of course this is suiting to the TV Vanessa!

Serena, Serena, this royal blue would look fabulous in this unusual Grecian style dress. Serena tends to go with flowing or tight dresses, and the dress reminds me of her dress in the wedding ep in season2!.

Blair, Blair, prettiest of them all, after hard night at ball. I could see Blair in this dress, with light blue cardigan and pretty ballet pumps and one of her signature hairbands. While grabbing a cup of coffee or walk in the park.

You can buy the dresses at revolveclothing.com , warning they are rather expensive!

Christmas time!

So with only 6 days to go until Christmas and 5 days till Christmas, i thought it was appropriate time to post my Christmas list.

Christmas is such a wonderful, warm fuzzy feeling time of year,Christmas represents to me, Love, family, great food, giving and receiving presents and decorating the tree and counting the days down.

I think when you become older, you realise it's not just about getting that awesome pile of presents and that filled stocking at the end of your bed. It's the traditions and love that make it worth while, wake up early while its still dark and bringing my stocking onto my mom and dad's bed even though I'm a teenager, making the gingerbread house, whilst sneaking a lick of the icing, making mince pies and decorating the tree on the last day of school.

This year i decided to ask for lots of little things and some money for the sales! I'm hoping to buy a camera and some Jack wills clothing in the sales, as its pointless to ask for them when they will be 60% off the next day...

So this year, on my list to Santa i placed carefully;

The book of one of my favourite films of all times, Breakfast at Tiffany's, apparently it's meant to have great ending plot line compared to film, its also meant to much darkerand more detailed about Holly's life than the movie. So excited to read this.

Gossip girl season 1 on DVD, its kind of a tradition for me to receive a TV series on DVD for Christmas. I love love this series and cant wait to watch all the drama all over again!

I kind of have a crazy addiction to Nail polish, so of course i asked for all the opi's i have been storing on my wishlist. About 6 months ago, i never in a million years have picked up any of these colours, only pinks! I've been looking for that perfect dark berry that Lauren Conrad wears, a lighter version of Russian navy and i just couldn't resist the gold and grey!
Gold- Glamour game,
Grey- Brand new skates ( both part of the toyland collection/ christmas collection 2008)
Dark berry/black - Black cherry chutney, Dark Blue- Yoga-ta get this blue ( both from India collection from spring)

Really into purples this season, after watching a purple eye look from Juicystar07 ( youtube), in the look she created. So i've asked for the mac items she used. Mac shadestick in Silverbleu, Mac Pigment in Viz a Violet and Mac Poison Pen. I also badly want the holiday palette in Cool eyes!

Couldnt resist asking for VSPINK body mist and Lotion in Warm and Cozy. The reviews on Makeup alley, say it smells vanilla-ary with a hint of a fruity smell YUM! and i love this tank.

So yup that's it for this year's Christmas wish list, cant wait to either get a laptop ( if i put my Christmas money towards it) from my parents in the sale or a camera! Im looking at the fujifilm z20fd in pink!

What are you asking for??

Kimora, where did it all go wrong

She was once hailed" the girl of the nineties" by Karl Lagerfield. She was his muse, a simple girl from St Louis, Missouri at the age of 13 became the face of chanel.

Classy and fabulous with the latest designs and Karl Lagerfield having taken her under his wing, this girl was going in the right direction to become a fashion icon in a few years time. Her 6 foot tall frame, with a skinny fit.

All though she was eating up a storm in the fashion world, at her high school she was " chinky giraffe", who got teased and taunted at by her fellow classmates. Her Chanel bags, her BMW, Rolex watch set her apart from the other school kids.

All was well in the fashion department, until she met Russell Simmons " godfather of hip hop", the style began a changing. The style became more urban, the bling necklaces piled high, strap glitzy stilettos upon her feet.

Until she turned into this;

Her once classy style, turned into a fashion nightmare, the dripping diamonds, low cut cheap looking but expensive clothes.I bet that photo alone makes Karl's stomach turn, her classy style once used to be adored now has become cheap and tacky.

If you are a watcher of her programme" Life in the fab lane " you will see her absolutely charming manners, her low regard for herself, her niceness just shines through.

If you have seen it, you will know that last sentence was complete sarcasm, her behaviour is rather draw dropping, and the fact it has rubbed off onto her children, quite frankly scares me.
I really had to search to find a classy and cute outfit of hers.....

Feeling festive, despite the loss of coco. Her death was expected because of her kidney problems, so we all knew it was coming for a couple of weeks.

Its not something you can put into words

Its not something you can put into words, but losing a pet is something you cant even begin to describe. Today my mom lost her cat coco, due to kidney failure at 15 years old, She was such an amazing kind, sweet cat with a whole bunch of personality and I'm glad we had her for just one year.

I think the lyric " and the tears come streaming down your face" sums up today in whole.

-- gathering from everyone's comments, fringe isn't for everyone.

To try and cheer myself up, i bought a must needed winter coat, scarf, gloves and two cute hats

Full fringed

So in light of a new hair cut, going for a sweeping side fringe! I ended up with a fullish fringe because it's a bit to short to sweep over, its very Freja Beha Erichsen! i actually quite like it and its only for a week until it grows or so. Excuse the claw like hand, lols

Fringe is everywhere this season, boots, bags, hair lol! Pining over a pair of minnetonka Triple fringe boots for the last few months, firmly placed on my christmas list. I love the way the fringe dangles, the chestnut colour and the suede material combine to create a delicious boot. All the items below are from Urban Outfitters, Fringe is an easy wearible trend.

So whimsical

I have fallen in love with this song, its so whimsical and Jolie, i found by chance while watching Nordstrom B.P Video, soon as i heard it, i knew i had to find it on itunes. Such a pretty song. Charlotte Sometimes- I could kill a man! Such a funny and strange song title

I also found a pretty nail Frankenstein* this weekend, OPI's strawberry margarita applied with two coats and then a layer of OPI's Got a date to-knight. The mix creates a Rose pink creme, it actually would be a total "Elle Woods" nail polish.

Britney's album came out today, so excited to buy it. I have to say, I’m totally rooting for Britney Spears. After watching her documentary, she seems not completely well but has improved so much compared to her head shaving business. Its also her 27th birthday today so "Happy birthday Britney" lol!

Oh my gosh, I'm not normally a cheap kind of shoe girl but check out Sigerson Morrison for Target Shoe collection. $40 for these gorgeous boots and $30 for the flats. If these aren't a bargain then i don't know one is! The boots are very late 80's early 90's with the ankle boot and velvet material, they also remind me of a pair of flats my mom used to have, velvet flats with tiny multi colour crystals.

Tiffany Blue and Post exams Laziness

Is there such a thing as post Exam laziness? Is there an actual name for this laziness that takes over? or even a cure.

After doing exams all week, all i want to do is sleep, browse the Internet, and watch TV especially the Hills and SVU. It's been rather nice actually in fact on Sunday night, i ate a yummy ginger sponge pudding with a lakes worth of custard while watching Fringe.

But don't you just love my new background, the blue is that special duck egg, Tiffany blue. Its rather pretty isn't it.

It actually inspired for todays post, Pendants! Simple but can be statement peices.

Cherish necklace by dogeared, simple and dainty! i think everyone would cherish a necklace from dogeared.

Nardi " doorknocker" pendant is simply a taste of bling without the hiphop rappers or trophy wives.
"K" pendant, by tiffanys, other pendants can be purchased at nordstrom.

The World and The Internet

One thing that stood out every time I checked the Geo Locations of the visitors to my blog was the sole visitor from Africa.

It made me wonder - about the internet penetration across the world - the ease of access for people in North America and Europe - and the scarcity of access for people across Africa.

Well, the chart below explains everything
Check the Internet Stats here.

Hope that in coming times, the net will be freely and easily accesible for everyone across the globe - cutting across geographies. Needless to say, the benefits will be huge.

Only then a person somewhere in Africa or Siberia can read my blog!!!

Emo and Scene Kids Part II

emo scene hair

YES, the major difference between emos and scenesters are their attitude. But I don't believe all 'scene kids' have an original personality, as you say 'dont follow the personality'. Yea, they dont follow the emo personality. But they still have one they mostly all have.. they think highly of themselves.

Another difference is, emos are generally natured to black. Scene kids love colors. Rainbows, neon colors..anything and everything!(Although I see emos starting to like rainbows now..xD)

Another thing is the 'obsessions'. Emos love, mostly Jack Skellington, and such things as that. While Scene kids are more into the look of say, Sanrio characters, like Hello Kitty. And also, Gloomy Bear is a big thing for them.

While emos and scenes are close to each other, I think the difference is more than what it seems. It isnt just the personality, but the style too. The common thing shared among them is probably the hair. But scene hair is most definately BIGGER.xD

You should be able to tell the difference, on the spot, from an emo or a scene kid. Guys are harder to distinguish than girls most of the time. But see a guy with a lot of confidence and he seems like hed have a big mouth on him, wearing bright colors, and big sun glasses..I think its safe to assume hes 'scene'. While a guy wearing mostly black, quiet in the corner, walking slowly..well, thats emo. But even if an emo doesnt follow the personality, you can still tell them apart by the overall style.

New Hair

So about a month ago, i decided to buy a highlight kit, so if i liked i would get it done professionally. The test strand came out perfect of course, but after my mom applied the rest of the streaks, when it came to washing off time. My hair had gone ORANGE!! like orange soda colour.

So I got a box of dark brown ( my natural hair colour) to cover it up. It worked for a while ( it came out a lightish brown with a reddish tinge) until the semi permanent began wearing off!

This is what it looked like until yesterday! Yuck right, it really washed my skin tone out also.

I bought a dark dark brown box of permanent hair dye, proceed to get it everywhere, on the computer chair, one of my abercrombie hoodie, on the floor! it seemed to drip on everything and anything!

Here is the after, i used L'oreal feria Number 40 espresso.

Such a beautiful wedding

Its every girl's dream to get married, with a church from a storybook, matching bridesmaid's and that all important elegant and sophisticated dress.

Its what every girl dreams of, a cropped top dripping with swarvoski crystals, with a matching skirt which shows off that classy belly button piercing and lovely meringue like ruffles train which looks ever so elegant.

Another thing that must be worn is that all important tiara that should be bigger than the queens, those lovely dangle earrings and to top it off, a special choker.
Of course a bride should not be without her famous spray tan which gives a nice healthy orange glow, having her hair done in loose waves with an half up do. A a big sweep of Blusher gives that nice touch along with oh so pretty red lipstick.

Would you believe this wedding cost £100,000 ( approx $200,000) with that lovely dress costing £16,000 ( $32,000). Missy and Thomas at only 16, decide to get married, with the bill at her dad, 35, expense. Doesn't the mother look stunning in her pale sea green with matching swarvoski covered bra to the bride.

For All Those with Thick Hair

thinning shears

Thinning shears(or thinning scissors as I like to call them) should be used to thin out your hair. I suggest Massugu thinning scissors as these scissors have been designed specifically with the beginning hairdresser in mind. These are simply gap-toothed scissors that cut only half the hair. These also come with various gap sizes, depending on what you need cut away.

I've seen how many people struggle with thick hair and I can just imagine the pain it is to manage it, hope this helps.

I fell in love for the first time

with purple....
Purple is just a blah colour, like green, its non exist in my wardrobe and that's how I have always planned it to be until i saw this little gem on shopbop.
Its oh so rich aubergine, richness overwhelmed my fashion taste buds, the soft leather, the clunky lock and the rich purple. I think this is the first time ever, purple has ever seems so pretty.
I need this bag, it positively screams at me, " buy me, how great would i look with that navy peacoat in your closet", " buy me".
Its Kooba Natasha for $645, which is sadly out of my price range even for christmas! i have to many other things i want.
Speaking of randomness, i fancy a chocolate milkshake, and law and order SVU is on. I am seriously addicted to this show.
