embelishment me all over

Trends will change, Fashion will change but some pieces will be timeless- Kicking couture

Christian Dior never fails to create trends and pieces which are bold but classy movement in fashion world. Embellishments as always were a big feature at the Christian Dior Haute Couture a/w 2008 and it's ready to wear collection.

Boxy jackets, a- line skirts, slim line satin suits, princess coats and embellisment was the main focus of the Christian Dior RTW fall collection. The simplicty of the shapes and outlines of the clothing screamed as always very 60's, When you think of the 60's, you think mini's, twiggy era, which is incorrect, that style was not fashionable until the late 60's. The 60's fashion was very much still belonging to the late fifties. The straight shift suits was very popular, which had developed from the 1957 sack dress, was well below the knee. If you want examples of the 60's look in its true form look to " Paris when it sizzles" a fashion enchanting film with a rather dull plot.
Summing up Christian Dior for Fall: gigantic back-combed hairdos, gigantic eye makeup, and the neat ladylike suits and dresses of Kennedy-era America.

Dresses with embellishment was the highlight of the show, with embellishment which was simply mesmerising. Which captured peoples hearts like a magpie to a shiny necklace.

An easy way to incorporate this trend is this simple button up tank with a line of gems from free people $48. The price tag, a little hefty but will be a gem in a wardrobe for many years to come.
